The boat (a Klipper) used to be a cargo sailing vessel, famous for its gracefull hull and sailing capacities, built in 1904 and recently modernized to the extent of a luxury villa.

The canal De Oude Waal makes up a serene and untouched beauty of Amsterdam's oldest historic centre.

Being the fourth (and last) boat from shore, the boat is located right in the middle of the canal, offering an impressive 360° perspective with full view of the canal houses around it. The houseboat receives sun from its rise in the east untill the moment of setting in the west.

The boat is made up of a large living area with open, fully equipped kitchen (incl. dishwasher) and a monastry table with seats for 6 people. Part of the living room is elevated and is furnished as Japanese lounge area. From here also a door leads to the rear deck.
The house has two double bedrooms. The main bedroom is in the front of the boat, with portholes in the bow allowing the morning sun to shine inside at the very start of the day. Needless to say, all windows (including the skylight) can be covered so that total eclipse and silence brings the best possible rest. The second room is equipped with a basic quality doublesize bed for guests.
The bathroom adjoining both bedrooms (split bathroom) is equipped with floorheating, a walk-in shower, a separate bath and an ultra-silent laundrey machine.
A separate toilet can be found in the hall.
